Native Shrubs

The Native Gardening Awareness Program, which is a committee of the Emerald Chapter of the Native Plant Society of Oregon, has produced an informational brochure about native shrubs titled:    Native Shrubs For Your Southern    Willamette Valley Garden    (Spring 2002) It was written about plants locally native to the southern Willamette Valley, Oregon, and specifically for gardening conditions encountered here. It contains profiles of 6 wetland, 8 foothill, and 9 shady site species, with information on habitat preferences, appearance and cultivation for each one. It is provided in hope that it will serve as a useful reference for home gardeners, as well as landscape architects and nursery retailers. View printable PDF version of the list
